Is anyone else sick of getting late notice of kid’s Halloween Party?
Someone please tell me why the kids have to tell you the last minute that you have been volunteered to supply chips, dip, soda, etc for their Hallween party at 9pm the night before?!? Or worse yet homemade cookies? Am I the only one going thru this?
It is frustrating when kids don't tell us until the last minute (usually they know in advance but just forget until the night before). Don't stress out.....there are 24 hour markets and I would just pick up homestyle cookies in the morning. There is no need to rush around at 9 p.m. baking cookies. Just be sure to bring them in their package in case there are any food allergies (they main contain nuts).

yeah, really.. that is pretty annoying when you find out that late that you have to do all that stuff.. they probably just wanted to try to stay up later to go to the store or something truth to be told..
let me tell you how crappy my son’s so called halloween party is this year…..
it is called a fall festival party.. NO dressing up.. wtf? we always dressed up when i was younger.. that’s messed up.. and we had to bring two bags of candy enough for his class.. they can’t have anything homemade due to peanuts.. oh, and NO soda.. (it is a one time party, people, not jail or something) so what school has a party that you can not dress up in a costume? that is ridiculous… i bet that made you mad when they told you at the VERY last minute. i would have been. lol i am sure you don’t care to do it.. but it would have been nicer to have a 24 hour notice, at LEAST!! lol.. good luck with that one..

At 9pm the night before? I’d tell the kid sorry, no, I don’t have time to do that since you left it so late to tell me, you’ll have to go without. And I would absolutely follow through and send them to school without.
My kids do not volunteer me for things without my permission, or they are the ones going to the teacher and explaining why it isn’t happening. Strangely, I don’t have your problem, since they have to ASK before signing me up for things and so I know right from the start what I am volunteering for.

well i think i got a weeks notice, and my 3 yr old son can take his costume to school, but they cant put them on unless it does not scare anyone (he is a mailman for crying out loud)
my 5 yr old had a note sent home asking permission to patricipate in the "fall festival" and his teacher told us two kinds in his call cannot particiopate in halloween.

No but you no its coming so why not just ask your kid or better yet talk to the teacher and volunteer to bring something then you have the choice and the notice..
