Adult Halloween Costumes Archives

I need good ideas for adult halloween costumes!?

I need a couple of ideas. we need 2 different ones. one set for a group of 3, 2 women and a man, and also another for a couple (male and female). we were thinking 2 girls be sexy school girls and the man be the headmaster, and for the other couple the cowgirl and cowboy, or prisoner and guard. We want something thats easy and cheap to make but creative, sexy not slutty. Were going to an adult halloween party, were theres prizes for the best costumes. HELP!

If the male is willing to dress as a woman, the 2 girls could be girl scouts or brownies and the male could be their leader.

You could be the Clintons. Hillary, Bill and Chelsea.

If you all got red bathing suits you could be Baywatch life guards.

An obvious one would be have the guy be a pimp and the girls be his hos, but that probably borders on the slutty.

For the two person costume, one year my boyfriend and I went as Santa and his elf. You could also be be a witch (the male) and the female could be a black cat.

Another idea for either the group of two or three would be for the male to be Hugh Hefner in a bathrobe and pajamas and the girl(s) be playboy bunnies.

3 famous 1960s costumes you must try

The sixties was a decade prominent for its groovy and colorful fashion styles, which is why it's not very surprising that it played a major role in inspiring numerous types of fancy outfits and costumes nowadays.

1960s costumes and fancy clothes are usually the mainstay of most costume parties and nightclubs. From the Go Go dancer outfit, to the pop music 60s outfit, to psychedelic costumes and the hippie costumes, you can never really hide the magic and influence that the 60s have brought to people.

Another fresh genre of the 1960s has recently become popular as it promoted a widespread fascination for 1960s costumes by wearing fancy dresses which are primarily inspired by several sixties television programs and films.

Below are three different 1960s costumes that make use of fancy dresses and clothes which are based primarily on film and television series that you and your friends might want to consider once you decide on organizing your own Halloween costume party.

Parker from Thunderbirds Costume

One of the most popular shows form the 60s was the Thunderbirds. Thunderbirds is based on a puppet show that was enjoyed a lot by both adults and children. The TV series have generated cool and flashy 1960s costumes and outfits from different characters, but the well-loved character is Parker.

I Dream of Jeannie 1960s costumes

I Dream of Jeannie was a hit show from the sixties. It starred Barbara Eden who played a two-thousand year old female genie and Larry Hagman, an astronaut who became Jeannie's master. The Jeannie outfit in the sitcom is easily recognizable, especially by people who grew up watching the TV series. Since the TV series gained a popular following during the sixties, it is likely that the dresses and outfits worn by a lot of the characters can be perfect 1960s costumes as well. The witch genie character also works as an ideal costume for Halloween parties.

Austin Powers Costumes

Austin Powers is particularly known as a hit 90s lampoon comedy of James Bond. Although the character and concept of Austin Powers was developed during the 90s, its setting was based in the sixties. Austin Powers is a film that has mostly inspired an extensive range of 1960s costumes, but the Austin Powers costumes itself is perhaps the most popular among them all.

The costume worn by Austin Powers is based on a blue velour two-piece suit with flashy lace French cuffs. It is also designed with a lacy neck ruff and paired with outrageous yet trendy glasses; thus making the outfit a totally cool 1960s get-up.

For those people who are planning on buying their own 1960s costumes, the best way to avail of the most hip and trendy styles that will perfectly appeal to your interest is by visiting several specialty stores that are located near you. Although the internet offers a myriad of 1960s costumes, buying straight from a specialty store may be better since you are given the advantage of being able to try on the outfits before buying them and most of these stores have stocks that are far more appealing than what most websites can offer.

Adult Star Wars Costumes

When I was growing up, I wasn't very into youngsters Star Wars costumes. I was more inquisitive about sci-fi than fantasy, so I never wore a Darth Vader costume to a sci holiday or dressed up as Bobba Fett for Halloween. All of that modified when I reached the age of seventeen.

I was going out with a girl who was the largest science-fiction geek I had ever met, and she just loved to get ready up and go to Star Wars parties. She had some quite intricate adult Star Wars costumes which she had put together herself. She had the mandatory Princess Leia costume in her closet, together with a tempest soldier costume made of bits of plastic from other projects and a couple of others she had knocked together in her free time. Naturally, I wasn't truly the cunning type, and did not know how to make my very own adult Star Wars costume, but I had no desire to disillusion her and come to a Star Wars party in street clothing. I made a decision the best move to make was to buy an adult Star Wars costume online instead of making my. I realized I may just as well go for broke and get something sort of funny and entertaining. I got a Chewbacca costume off eBay.

It belonged to some chap who used to work at Star Wars conventions and was about as authentic as you might get. It was pretty hot in there, and the costume had a little bit of damage on it, but generally it had been a success. It was actually the middle of summer at the time, so the majority of the adult Star Wars costumes at the party were pretty light weight. I was the only one actually prepared to put on a full Wookie skin and play the part. My girl was terribly proud. Since then, I have continuously learned to make my very own adult Star Wars costumes.

It's been kind of slow going, but pretty rewarding work. First, I learned a little bit of stitching from a community craft group, then I taught myself the proper way to cut and attach plastic and, gradually, I changed into a DIY costume master. That doesn't suggest that I'm able to do it all. I often order parts online for some of my adult Star Wars costumes, especially if I make a costume for a personality with an alien face or I need a complicated prop. At the end, my adult costumes are about fifty percent home-made and fifty percent from the Net.
