i am doing an informative speech on the history of halloween and i need an intro. We are supposed to open our speech with a quote, story, startiling fact, but i cant think to think of anything really interesting...
any suggestions? thanks!!
Start with describing Halloween night... the sounds, sight, smells, etc. Capture the audience and then lead in by asking a question about how that all started.

Me and my friend started to make a haunted house but couldn't get enough supplies, so then we decided to just have a halloween party. All we need is just a few idea's to help make the party better and more scary, thanks
Dare you play?

I would like to find perhaps a black outfit with bones printed on it, like a skeleton. Other ideas welcome. I don't want to wear a mask. Anybody got any sources or ideas?
Thanks.

Why the children request candies ?
That is too much to post here, it would take pages and pages in excess of what YA allows space wise.
Here are some links if you really want to know the truth about this subject.

I'm turning 17. My friends (as am I, obviously) are all big horror movie buffs so they're fairly desensitized to things many people would find scary, but I really want to try and frighten them. Even if they weren't so into horror, it does get difficult to try to plan a scary party when a lot of party supply places specialize in cheesy, not scary, Halloween decorations. Does anyone have any ideas (could be decoration ideas, activity ideas, anything at all) that could possibly create a frightful birthday party and help me terrify my friends?
Do a blood bath style party, just bloody body parts every where. And top the center of the table with an evil cake...check this page out, it may help you out instead of the cheesy tacky decor
Death by Cake (a morbid cake prop)

Bloody Body Parts (to dress up the rest of the house)

And you gotta have a cool scare or two, I really like this puppet this site has, it is called baby stink, it looks like a rotten nasty baby but it is a hand puppet. Gross and scary lol.

Hope that helps! Have great Halloween and a rockin scary party!
Best wishes,
